Leading systems integrator, Dynamic Controls Inc. (DCI), was recently awarded the temperature controls contract on the new Washington University School of Medicine Mid-Campus Center project located at 4570 Children’s Place in St. Louis, MO on the WUSM-BJC campus. A Schneider Electric® partner, DCI joins the construction team which includes General Contractor (Clayco) and Mechanical Contractor (Icon Mechanical) on the 12-story, 510,000 square foot mixed use facility. The building will house offices for the dean and administrative staff and corporate offices for BJC HealthCare. It will also include a WUSM/BJC joint security center, a bookstore and cafĂ©, and conference rooms. This relocation will allow for more medical school faculty space and clinic space at the Center for Outpatient Health and at other facilities on campus.
Expected to open in December 2016, The WUSM-MCC project will utilize a new Building Automation System furnished and installed by Dynamic Controls Inc. The product being used will be Schneider Electric’s latest Building Automation Platform, “SmartStruxure for Buildings™”. The project automation scope will include Core and Shell Mechanical Equipment/Systems; Tenant Improvement/Fit out Equipment; Heating Water; Air Handling Equipment; Terminal Boxes; Critical Building System Monitoring (Generators, Water Systems, Alarming/Monitoring etc.); Building Ventilation and Pressure Control.
